Any person who is of age 18 or older, who is a follower and believer of the teachings of Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, who has accepted this constitution and Bylaw and who has duly paid his/her membership fee is said to be a member.
RIGHTS OF A MEMBER:
The rights of a member of the parish are:
(a) shall be elected to any office of the Church after being a member of the Church for 6 consecutive months.
(b) shall cast a vote after being a member for 3 consecutive months.
(c) shall get special benefits for Baptism, Christening and Sunday School for Children
(d) shall get special benefits for Marriage Services and Certificate, Burial rites (Faith) and Counseling by Spiritual leaders.
(e) The immediate family of a Church member shall benefit all services detailed on items (c) and (d). According to these ByLaws, immediate family is defined as the spouse, the children under the age of eighteen (18) and non resident parents of both spouses.
